By booking The Playful Den Events for hire you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
1. Terms of Hire for all equipment
All items supplied to you on a hire basis remain the sole property of The Playful Den Events Limited. Hirers must be aged 18 years or over, identification will be required where the hirer may not look the required age.
It is the hirers responsibility to check all required dimensions for space needed for our equipment. Upon arrival where equipment will not fit within the desired area, we reserve the right to 100% of hire costs.
Where accessibility issues result in the set up time exceeding our allocated allowable time, we will charge £25 per hour.
The Playful Den Events only hire on grassed surfaces, indoors, or areas where our kit can be securely fastened to the ground. Inflatables will not be set-up for areas which are tarmac or on hard outdoor surfaces such as artificial grass where our equipment cannot be anchored.
The Hirer is responsible for the care and supervision of all users of the equipment whilst the equipment is in the Hirer’s possession and control. It is strongly recommend that the Hirer have appropriate public liability insurance, covering his/her liability arising from the use of our equipment Liability for injuries or other losses caused, rests solely with the Hirer.
Public liability insurance is excluded in its entirety following any claim or injury to any third party or employee. The Playful Den Events excludes any liability for injury, loss or damage caused to any person using the equipment contrary to our terms & conditions.
Accidents must be reported to the person in charge, including dates and accounts of what occurred and signed by the injured third party representative.
In the event of reasons beyond our control, The Playful Den reserve the right to change the items hire for items for items of similar style and user genre.
The Playful Den Events reserves the right to use any photography of our products and services taken at set up. If you have any objections to this please let us know in writing prior to your event.
The Playful Den Events cannot accept responsibility for any damages that may occur during delivery, set up, use and collection of the equipment.
If you are hiring this equipment on behalf of others, the hirer is responsible for ensuring their client(s) are aware and agree to the terms set out within this document.
2. Inflatables Terms of Use
The Operator of the inflatable must be a responsible adult over the age of 18 years.
This Operator must ensure the correct height of user is allowed on the inflatable. All inflatable are for children up to 1 metre tall, usually the age of seven.
No smoking on or within close vicinity of the inflatable and its accessories.
Do NOT attempt to move the inflatable once secured in position, Only trained personnel may move the inflatable.
The Operator must ensure no more than the recommended number of users are allowed on the inflatable at any one time.
The Operator must ensure the correct height of user is adhered to at all times.
Socks are to be worn at all time but no shoes, spectacles, sharp object or food allowed on the inflatable whatsoever.
Face paint, glitter tattoos, party poppers, confetti, streamers or silly string is strictly forbidden on all of our equipment. The dye from these objects can stain the equipment. The hirer will be responsible for any damage caused, and cleaning charges if these objects damage an inflatable starting at £250.
Acrobatics, summersaults and climbing walls are strictly forbidden on the inflatable. The operator must be aware users must simply bounce up and down with no pushing or climbing on any part of the inflatable.
Heavier children should be separated from smaller ones, using a rotating system for using the inflatable.
The Operator must ensure the unit remains intact and should regularly inspect the Inflatable and it’s anchorage for any signs of loosening. In the event of failure, all users are to be safely removed and the inflatable restored to safe operation.
Weather conditions are to be monitored, taking the inflatable out of use, when wind speeds exceed 24mph. Where wind speeds are predicted to be in excess of 20mph an anemometer will be provided for you, the hirer, to monitor wind speeds throughout your event duration. You must track the wind speeds on the documentation provided to you. Heavy rainfall should result in the inflatable being taken out of use and electrical equipment unplugged. If the equipment can be moved, it should be taken to a dry location.
The blower is to be checked regularly to ensure it remains in place. In the event of loss of pressure, the operator must check no rubbish is restricting the fan from its operation. No member of public should have any access to the blower or its electric sockets.
Seams and zips must be monitored for any tears.
The hirer will be deemed to have inspected the equipment and any accessories and will have agreed that it is supplied in good condition unless brought to the attention of The Playful Den Events when erecting the inflatable.
The hire period will have been agreed prior to delivery of the inflatable. Any obstruction by the hirer or their guests will be charged at £25 per hour during takedown.
The Hirer is responsible for the care and supervision of all users of the equipment. Whilst the equipment is in the Hirer’s possession and control. Liability for injuries or other losses caused, rests solely with the Hirer.
3. Soft play terms of use
All soft play equipment is suitable for use by children under 5 years. The Playful Den Events strictly prohibits the use of soft play equipment for anyone over the age of 5 years.
The Hirer will be deemed to have inspected the equipment and any accessories and will have agreed that it is supplied in good condition unless brought to the attention of a member of our staff when setting up the equipment.
A competent adult must supervise soft play equipment, over the age of 18 years at ALL times.
No smoking on or within close vicinity of our soft play equipment.
Strictly NO SHOES, sharp objects, food, beverages allowed on soft play mats, ball pools or equipment.
The Hirer prior to collection of the equipment must collect Ball pool balls. Failure of this requirement will result in a £25 collection charge.
Soft play pieces must be placed back in the original set up location ready for collection, including all balls in the ball pit.
The Hirer is responsible for the care and security of all soft play equipment, whilst in their possession. Damage to any equipment whilst in the hirers possession will be charged accordingly.
Soft play equipment is sanitised between every hire, however please try to keep the soft play equipment in as clean state as possible, this helps to protect the longevity of our equipment. Please treat our equipment with respect, mistreated; overly dirty equipment, when being collected will incur a £50 cleaning charge.
Face paint, glitter tattoos, party poppers, confetti, streamers or silly string is strictly forbidden on the soft play. The dye from these objects can stain the equipment. The hirer will be responsible for any damage caused, and be liable for any cleaning charges these objects are used on the soft play.
The hire period will have been agreed within email prior to delivery of the soft play equipment. Any obstruction by the hirer or their guests will be charged at £25 per hour or part of.
Public liability insurance is excluded in its entirety following any claim or injury to any third party or employee. Whether directly or indirectly related to the use of drugs and/or alcohol.
The Playful Den Events excludes any liability for injury, loss or damage caused to any person using the equipment contrary to our terms & conditions.
The Hirer is responsible for the care and supervision of all users of the equipment. Whilst the equipment is in the Hirer’s possession and control. Liability for injuries or other losses caused, rests solely with the Hirer.
4. Booking fees & charges
Your deposit is a non-refundable booking fee.
Booking fees are to be paid immediately, when equipment and dates have been reserved. We will not hold any dates for equipment without a booking fee paid.
Final balances are due fourteen days prior to set up of any equipment unless otherwise agreed.
We will not deliver to an unsecured location without the hirer being present.
The Playful Den Events will require a call out charge of £25 per hour or part of, if needed to attend any event/premises where fault is not regarded as our own.
Damage to any equipment provided by The Playful Den Events as a result of negligence on the hirers part, will be charged accordingly.
Please treat our equipment with respect, mistreated, overly dirty equipment when being collected will incur a £50 cleaning charge.
Collections after 1800 hours (evening) not pre-arranged will incur an additional charge starting at £25. All collections after 18:00 must be pre-arranged on Booking as will be factored into your package price. Our insurance does not allow over night hire events.
5. Cancellations
All cancellations must be communicated via email by contacting info@theplayfulden.co.uk
Cancellations before fifteen days of your scheduled event will be refunded any monies paid minus their booking fee.
Cancellations within fourteen days of your scheduled event will be liable for the whole hire costs unless otherwise agreed.
Cancellations for adverse weather situations will NOT be refunded, but your hire costs can be transferred to an alternative date, subject to availability. We highly recommend that for any outdoor events an indoor alternative is secured as a plan B option.
Where severe winds above 24mph, rain are forecast for any outdoor event, or if the ground is wet The Playful Den Events will not be able to hire out equipment. Any bookings that are NOT indoors and with no suitable cover will be cancelled with the hirer liable for the whole hire cost.
The Playful Den Events reserve the right to cancel any booking, where there is a potential health & safety risk to the hirer, their guests or the public. We operate a common sense approach in regard to weather conditions.
Please bear in mind, after equipment is installed, weather conditions may not make the equipment suitable for use. The responsibility to assess weather conditions is down to you, the hirer.
6. Delivery Policy
On booking, a member of The Playful Den Events team will inform you if any additional charges are applicable.
If we are unable to provide your delivery due to adverse weather, vehicle failure, illness or any other factor, we will inform you of this at the earliest possible opportunity.
Upon delivery the hirer agrees to the Terms and Conditions of Hire and will be in attendance to run through how to operate the equipment. If the hirer is not present, an alternative responsible adult is able to sign for the delivery of the equipment.
Please ensure that there is adequate space for our products, that the location our products will be sited is accessible, and that you have cleared the area of mess and debris. You will be liable for the whole hire costs if we cannot deliver your product due to a lack of space or accessibility or due to an inappropriate location.
Insurance Disclaimer
Please note that all persons using our equipment do so at their own risk.
The person/s or organisation hiring this Inflatable equipment will be responsible/liable for any damage or injury occurring from or as a result of misuse or reckless use.
These guidelines are for the safety of all people using this equipment, and it is the sole responsibility of the hirer to ensure they are fully adhered to at all times.
We cannot accept any responsibility for any injury caused to anyone using this equipment.
I have read the above agreement and fully understand and accept the conditions as above.
I am aware that whilst in my care I am fully responsible for the Equipment and will pay for any loss or damage that may occur.
